rsyslog 5.10.0 (v5-stable) released

We just released 5.10.0 of the v5-stable branch. This is the new rsyslog v5-stable, incorporating all changes from the 5.9.x series. In addition to that, it contains the fixes and enhancements listed in the ChangeLog.

rsyslog 5.8.13 (v5-stable) released

We just released 5.8.13 of the v5-stable branch. This is primarily a maintenance release. It includes several bugfixes for potential aborts or DA queues as well as other fixes. For more details, please review the ChangeLog.

This is the last release of 5.8.x to get the latest patches into this stable version. Soon we will release 5.10.1 which should be the version to be used if you are following the stable releases.

rsyslog 6.4.0 (v6-stable) released

This is the first version of the 6.4.x stable branch. It inherits all patches that were introduced in the 6.3.x beta branch. It is the new successor of the 6.2.x stable branch. As of now, the 6.3.x beta is finished as well.

This is a bug-fixing release. Updating is recommended for users of the v6-stable branch. New users please note that in order to build this release, libestr, libee and optionally liblognorm (for mmnormalize) is required.

rsyslog 6.3.9 (v6-beta) released

This is a new beta release vor the v6 branch. It is a follow-up to the current devel-branch. This release contains a lot of bugfixes and has some new features added like the capability to specify substrings for field extraction mode or the new property “jsonf”. More detailed information can be found in the changelog.

Since this is a new beta version, it would be nice to get some test results on the features and fixes from the userbase. Responses can be submitted via the mailing list.

rsyslog 5.9.7 (v5-beta) released

This is primarily a bug-fixing release. It also introduces the ability to extract substrings from within property fields. This is a recommended update for all users of the v5-beta branch. It will probably turn into the next v5-stable soon, so everyone is encouraged to give this version a try in order to iron out any remaining bugs.
