Millisecond

A millisecond is a thousand of a second. It is abbreviated as "ms". As such, 
500ms mean half a second.

Inside the :doc:`Adiscon's MonitorWare line of products <../glossaryofterms/mwlineofproducts>`, many timers are expressed in 
milliseconds as a fine control over the services and actions is provided to 
the administrator.
