Hi all,
I have written a small article on how to record the syslog message priority (facility and severity) to the log file. This is a useful feature for setting up the configuration file, especially with new devices.
In order to support that, I've also modified rsyslog with some new properties. Release 1.13.4 will appear somewhat later today. In the meantime, find the article here:
